Call for papers: "Recent Trends in Computing and Engineering"

For a special issue of the International Journal of Computer Aided Engineering and Technology.

Computer and Engineering is a science that has played a major role in the lives that we live in the 21st century. In today’s technology-driven world, Computer and Engineering are the cornerstone and driver of innovation of the devices that we utilise daily to improve our quality of life. Electrical, electronic and computer engineering is driven by growth and new engineering ideas. The latter driver, namely the new ideas, is actually elements of research in engineering. This special issue will deal with the general topic of long-term innovative for research in power, control, energy, high voltage applications, fuels, smart grids, power electronics, systems and applications, electrical machines, communication systems, signal processing, circuits and systems, computers and information technology.
 
The peer-reviewed articles will showcase potentially high impact research topics or directions. The objective is to identify topics that are likely to result in a noteworthy impact on electrical and computer industry in the next 25 to 50 years.
 
Suitable topics include, but are not limited, to the following:
  • Computer architecture
  • Computational biology and bioinformatics
  • Knowledge and data engineering
  • Learning technologies
  • Multimedia services and technologies
  • Mobile computing
  • Parallel/distributed computing and grid computing
  • Pattern analysis and machine intelligence
  • Software engineering
  • Visualisation and computer graphics
  • Power generation, transmission and distribution
  • Signal processing, communication systems
  • Renewable energy sources, smart grids technologies and applications
  • And also papers related to innovation in engineering

Submission of manuscripts: 1 March, 2017
Notification to authors: 1 May, 2017
Final versions due: 1 June, 2017
