Call for papers: "Industrial Engineering Models for Business Excellence"

For a special issue of the International Journal of Business Excellence.

The application of scientific management philosophies plays a vital role for business excellence in both service and manufacturing industries. However, the companies face challenges in designing a systematic management structure to strive for operational excellence. Though they are involved in the development of business growth models and creating solutions to the problems in the company, it appears that there is no coherent management plan to maximise the benefits. People are not connected enough to the larger business needs. The management infrastructure is unable to change to stay competitive. Therefore, the companies are restructuring operations and adopting world-class practices in their bid to expand profits and become competitive globally. The ‘organisational intelligence’ that calls for the integration of various industrial engineering principles, models, techniques and algorithms is essential for operational excellence. This would facilitate the sustainable improvement of key performance metrics. Hence it is necessary to explore the use of such methodologies to leverage operations for business growth.

The issue will carry revised and substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at International Conference on Advances in Industrial Engineering Applications (ICAIEA2018), but we also strongly encourage researchers unable to participate in the conference to submit articles for this call.
