Call for papers: "Intelligent Transportation Techniques for Vehicle Tracking and Accident Identification Systems"

For a special issue of the International Journal of Heavy Vehicle Systems.

Due to recent technological and population growth, the utilisation of vehicles is quickly increasing and at the same time the number of accidents is also increased. Transportation networks are very important in current life. Accordingly, enormous research efforts have been dedicated to this field in the recent past. Constructive vehicular connectivity techniques can significantly intensify the efficiency of travel, improve safety and reduce traffic incidents and congestion. Intelligent transportation systems have resulted in more sensors being used in different features of transportation science and engineering. Sensor-based monitoring, operation, designing, control, and decision making has been the trend in air, water, and ground transportation systems, for safety, durability, and comfort, as well as environmental sustainability. Various traditional and newly-developed sensors have been used in various aspects of transportation systems for accurate information acquisition, effective monitoring, vehicle tracking and accident identification.

The special issue aims to publish original, significant and visionary papers that present ideas, innovations, and applications of intelligent transportation techniques for vehicle tracking and accident identification systems.
